CT-JSHS Alumni Spotlight: Orlando Romano

If you haven’t already, check out the new schedule for the 2023 CT-JSHS competition (agenda below). This year we shorted the day of agenda and planned activities in the week(s) leading up to the competition on March 4th. Many of these activities can be done at your own pace and on your own time. So don’t forget to check the website and your email!
Play to Win! Register on the CT-JSHS Website to start earning points while completing event activities. All student participants are eligible to play and to win prizes for themselves and their school! Activities include watching virtual lab tours, recorded alumni interviews with their mentors, participating in the STEM-Exhibition, and be on the look for a sign-up for a virtual alumni-led career panel discussion. And more activities to come. So, don’t miss out on your opportunity to win prizes at 2023 CT-JSHS by completing activities for you and your school. Click here to learn about current point-earning activities.

This year we are incorporating an Event Game through the CT-JSHS website to incentivize students (by earning points) to complete pre-conference activities. The top 3 students and top 3 schools with the highest number of points will be recognized at the CT-JSHS awards ceremony.
Step 1: Register for the Event Game on the website. All are welcome to participate. Only registered students are eligible to win prizes for event game participation. Please list the complete name of your school when completing your registration. The top 3 students and top 3 schools with students with the highest number of points will be recognized at the CT-JSHS awards ceremony.
Step 2: Login and start earning points by completing tasks. All current tasks for point-earning are posted on the website (see link below). More tasks will become available as we approach the event including during the non-competitive virtual STEM poster exhibition that will be held the week of February 27-March 3.
Step 3: Check back for more point-earning tasks at https://ctjshs.com/how-do-you-earn-points-2/. Make sure to login to your profile before completing tasks.
Step 4: Individual and school winners will be announced at the March 4 symposium awards ceremony. (Even if you can’t attend on March 4, you can still win the Event Game–winners will be notified.)
Remember! You must log in to the CT-JSHS website to record any points earned for task completion. Make sure to log in each time you wish to complete a task. If you are logged out your points WILL NOT be recorded.
Click here to view the current tasks you can complete to start earning points! Click on “Show Details” under “Tasks to Earn Points” to find the list.
Sincerely,
Dr. Knight
